Lobasand zircon corundum sanding belts, 200 x 750mm, for 200mm belt (drum) floor sanders such as the Lägler Hummel. Sold in boxes of 10 belts, in grits P36 to P120.
Zircon corundum grain cuts fast and aggressively, resists heat and is slow to clog. It's the one to reach for when there's a lot to remove: thick old finishes, paint, and levelling hard or uneven floors.
The photo shows the ceramic version. Zircon belts are the same size and format; only the grain differs.
Which grit do I need?
P24 to P40 (coarse): the first cut. Takes off old lacquer, paint and wax, and levels cupped or uneven boards.
P50 to P60 (medium): takes out the scratches left by the first cut.
P80 to P120 (fine): the final passes before oil or lacquer.
Work up through the grits and don't skip more than one between passes, or the coarser scratches will show through the finish.
