We fit engineered, solid wood, laminate and SPC floors, and herringbone is our speciality. Every job is finished properly, with new skirting boards or trims where they're needed, and we can blend a new floor into an existing one.

Floor sanding & restoration

We sand worn floors back to bare timber, repair or replace damaged boards, and refinish them with Loba stains and lacquers. Original pine and deal boards, tired oak and old herringbone all come back looking new.

Subfloor preparation & levelling

A floor is only as good as what's under it. We level and prepare the subfloor, and insulate it where needed, so the new floor sits flat and lasts.

    We'll come back with a price. If we need to see the floor first, a site survey is €50, taken off your bill if you go ahead.

  3. Pick a date

    We agree a start date and how long the job will take, and keep you updated along the way.

  4. We do the work and tidy up

    We fit, sand or restore the floor and leave the room clean and tidy.

Which areas do you cover?

How much does it cost?

It depends on the floor, the size of the room and what's underneath. As a guide, herringbone fitting starts from €35 per m². The subfloor is usually the biggest variable, so we may need to see it first: a site survey is €50, taken off your bill if you go ahead. Our herringbone and laminate price guides go into more detail.

Do you supply the flooring too?

Yes. We supply and fit, so you deal with one team from start to finish. You can browse our floors online and order samples first, at €1.50 on most ranges.

Can old floorboards be sanded and restored?

Usually, yes. We've restored original pine and deal boards found under carpet, and a floor over 100 years old. We fill gaps, repair or replace damaged boards, then sand and refinish.

What finishes can you do after sanding?

We use Loba products. You can keep the natural colour of the wood, go lighter with a whitened finish, or go darker with a stain such as Jacobean, Provincial or Golden Oak. We seal it with Loba 2K Duo lacquer for a hard-wearing finish. Oiled floors can be cleaned and re-oiled instead.

Is floor sanding messy?

We use dust-controlled sanding equipment, keep the work area clean throughout, and tidy up before we leave.

Can you take up my old floor?

Yes. We lift carpet, vinyl, tiles, laminate and old wood floors, take them away, and get the subfloor ready for the new floor.

How long will the job take?

That depends on the size of the job and how much preparation it needs. We'll tell you the start date and how long it will take before we begin.

Do you do commercial jobs?

Yes. As well as homes, we've fitted floors in offices and commercial spaces.
